1. Accessibility commitment
FinEng intends the public website to be usable by a broad range of visitors, including people who use keyboards, screen readers, zoom, high-contrast settings or reduced-motion preferences.
The implementation target is substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This statement is a design and improvement commitment, not a claim of independent certification.
2. Features in this build
- semantic headings, landmarks and navigation labels;
- a keyboard-accessible skip link and mobile navigation;
- visible focus treatment for interactive controls;
- form labels, required-field indication and live status messages;
- responsive layouts and text scaling;
- reduced-motion support;
- text alternatives or accessible labels for informative diagrams;
- high-contrast core palette and non-colour structural cues;
- print-friendly legal pages.
3. Known limitations and dependencies
Accessibility can be affected by the visitor’s browser, assistive technology, operating system and any future third-party content or service. Font rendering may differ where Bramston typefaces are not installed or licensed webfont files are not configured.
Complex executive diagrams are accompanied by labels and explanatory text. A linear text alternative can be requested.
4. Testing approach
The release process should include automated structural checks, keyboard review, responsive inspection, contrast review, form testing and representative screen-reader checks. Automated tools identify only part of accessibility risk.

6. Ongoing improvement
Accessibility should be reviewed when content, templates, technology or external services change. Material findings should be prioritised by severity, user impact and frequency, with closure evidence maintained.
